Machu Picchu

A UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 and was named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2007.

Welcome to the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu, a place that defies description. This ancient Incan citadel, perched high in the Andes Mountains of Peru, is a testament to the brilliance of human ingenuity and the beauty of nature.

Choose from a one day, two day or even more options to visiting Machu Picchu.  Although we recommend spending a minimum of two days to fully take in the beauty and energy of this site; Machu Picchu can be visited in a single day from Cusco.

A general itinerary would include:

  • Early morning departure from Cusco to catch the bus to Ollaytantambo.

    • Travelers traveling from/to Cusco need to take a shuttle service as there is no train station between Cusco and Ollantaytambo.

  • Tour of the Cathedral of Cusco.

  • Tour of the Temple of the Sun - Qoricancha.

  • Transfer from Qoricancha to Sacsayhuaman.

  • Tour of the Archaeological Group of Sacsayhuaman.

  • Tour of the Archaeological Group of Qenqo.

  • Tour of the Archaeological Group of Puca Pucará.

  • Tour of the Archaeological Group of Tambomachay.

  • 18:20 – 18:35 Transfer by tourist bus from Tambomachay to the center of Cusco.
